Gin Lù – Spirit, Botanicals, Wood-Ageing Process

Gin Lù is a gin aged in wooden barrels, with an exclusive and unique refinement process.

Juniper dominates the blend of Gin Lù botanicals, together with Sage, Liquorice, Damascus Rose, Cherry, Lapsang Souchong Tea and Red Orange of Sicily.

Like Gin Mì and Gin Tì, Gin Lù is also produced in very small batches, with a double distillation process, under vacuum at low temperatures.

Cask-ageing is made with a passage in three different woods – Oak, Gelso, Ginepro – with aging times, size of the barrels and to preparation of the barrels, different for each phase and wood.

Gin Lù barrels are in fact treated, before their use, with two refined Chinese teas: a precious re-fermented Pu-Erh tea derived from 900-year-old plants, and a powerful Royal Lapsang Souchong, the sophisticated smoked tea from Fujian, used also as a botanical in Gin Lù’s recipe.
